Oyan ("the app", "we", "us") is a sleep, alarm and focus app developed by Galiya Zhenis. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how. We respect your privacy and designed Oyan to keep your data on your device by default.
Sleep and focus data you create. Nights, alarms, timer sessions, tags, streaks, ambient-sound preferences and app settings. Stored locally on your device.
Health data (optional). With your permission, Oyan reads sleep analysis, resting heart rate and heart rate variability from Apple Health to show how you slept in History and Sleep Analytics. Oyan writes to Apple Health only in one case: when you correct a night's bedtime or wake time yourself, it saves that corrected sleep sample. Nothing else is ever written.
Health data is read on your device, is never transmitted off it, and is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, nor disclosed to any third party. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sources, or in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Health.
Location (optional). If you use the Fajr alarm and choose to locate yourself automatically, Oyan requests a single, while-in-use, city-level fix to work out when dawn breaks where you are. The coordinate is used for that calculation and is never stored, logged or transmitted. Oyan never requests "Always" access and never tracks you in the background. You can skip this entirely by picking your city from the built-in list, which needs no permission.
Notifications and alarms. Oyan schedules local notifications and alarms on your device so it can wake you and alert you when a session or break ends. These are scheduled locally; no notification content leaves your device.
iCloud sync (optional). If you enable "Sync with iCloud" in Settings, your data is mirrored to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit so it stays in sync across your Apple devices. This data lives in your iCloud account, which is controlled by you and Apple. We cannot read it.
Purchases (Oyan+). Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides only an anonymous confirmation of whether a subscription is active.
